1. Information We Collect

When you use KeepJourney we collect your name, phone number, and booking details (pickup point, drop point, district, and travel date) so we can arrange your trip. If you sign in with email or Google, we store your email address.

2. How We Use It

  • To match you with an available guide or driver in your district.
  • To send booking confirmations, OTPs, and trip updates.
  • To calculate fares, apply coupons, and process cash collection records.
  • To improve our service and respond to support requests.

3. Sharing With Guides

Your name and phone number are shared with the guide or driver assigned to your trip so they can contact and identify you. We do not sell your personal data to third parties or advertisers.

4. Location Data

During an active, accepted trip you may choose to share live location so a trusted contact or our support team can track your journey. Location sharing stops automatically once the trip is marked complete or cancelled.

5. Data Retention

Booking records are retained for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. If you request account deletion via our form, we remove your personal profile data within 7 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate details, or request full account deletion at any time through our Contact or Delete Account forms.

Using the App Bookings & Fares Payments Cancellations Guide Conduct Liability Changes

1. Using the App

By creating an account or booking a trip through KeepJourney, you agree to provide accurate information and use the service only for lawful travel-related purposes.

2. Bookings & Fares

Fares are calculated per kilometre based on the vehicle type and district rates shown at the time of booking. Coupons, where applicable, are subject to minimum booking amounts and may be withdrawn at any time.

3. Payments

Trips are currently paid in cash directly to the assigned guide or driver once the journey is complete. KeepJourney does not process online payments on your behalf at this time.

4. Cancellations

You may cancel a booking before it is accepted by a guide at no cost. Cancelling after a guide has been assigned and is en route may be subject to a cancellation note on your account.

5. Guide Conduct

Guides registered on KeepJourney agree to verify their identity, maintain safe driving practices, and treat all travellers respectfully. Reports of misconduct can be filed through our Contact form and are reviewed by our team.

6. Liability

KeepJourney facilitates introductions between travellers and independent local guides. While we vet every guide at registration, KeepJourney is not the employer of guides and is not liable for incidents occurring outside the platform's direct control. Travellers are encouraged to share live trip location with a trusted contact.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
